Ahhh, finally a moment's relief.

Well, I won't say I'm happy the Hashbrown Winters and the Phantom of Pordunce Release Party is over, but I will say I'm relieved. A couple of posts ago I talked about stress. This party gave me an awful lot of stress. Mostly, it stressed me to think it wouldn't be successful, and Barnes and Noble would regret hosting it, and I'd look and feel like a total loser in the chair all by myself directing people to the restrooms while I twiddled my thumbs and stared around at all of the prizes no one would win because no one would show up. Fortunately, it went well. And I am now free to breathe a sigh of relief as I await the next release party in March for the Guardians of the Hidden Scepter.

But that's March. Psh. Time to kick back and sleep through the night and not attack random articles of clothing hanging on doorknobs throughout the house I mistake as goblins in my dreams. Time to leave my poor rat, Zoe, alone after midnight and not walk around holding her cage because I'm dreaming the house is flooding. I wonder what all these dreams mean? I wonder if I ever made an appointment with a dream psychologist... a dreamologist?... a dreampsycholo?... a dreamscicle? If they'd have a field day deciphering the hidden messages in my dreams? Maybe one day.

For now, enjoy some pictures from my release party this past Thursday and check back in later this week for a special post.

Frank,
It looks like you had an awesome turnout. You had nothing to worry about. You're a celebrity; you just didn't know it. Plus, you're a publishing MACHINE!

Thanks Dan and AJ. I don't know if I'm much of a publishing machine, though. I just write small books. :)
